Did Janitor make genuine mistake?
A local source has informed us of a story about the recent lock down at LTHS/LTMS and the subsquent firing of a Janitor for raising a "false alarm".
It appears one of the coaches from the Midway Volleyball Team was inside the school when the lock down occurred and stated that they were locked in the gym for 3 hours during the ordeal.
He also stated to our source that a LT booster was bringing in a brisket for the concession stand which he packed in a box for ease of carrying. The booster also had a pair of tongs stuck into his front pocket. This Midway coach tells our source he is of the opinion that the whole situation may have arisen from the Janitor seeing this guy carrying a box and something shiny that may have resembled a gun in his pocket.
While inconsistencies remain with the Janitor's story, this throws an interesting alternative light on the story.
An LTISD spokesman, when contacted, repeated their previous comment: “Upon extensive review of the incident, District officials concluded that there exists no evidence to substantiate the individual’s claim.” We await commentary from the Sherriff's Department.

If this happens, someone's got a lot of esplaining to do and I don't mean Lucy!
