Lakeway eatery Two Hot Mama's has gone out of business and property owner Carr Development already has signs up looking for a new tenant. E-mail inquiries to the former owners of the business remain unanswered as of the time of writing.

Hudson's Bend "Los Pinos" restaurant reopened on this past Wednesday to overwhelming crowds of well wishers and diners. (Every parking place and table taken with people patiently waiting their turn). This popular place burned on the July 4th weekend and locals have been watching and waiting as the reconstruction progressed.  The owner-Margarito- was in the kitchen cooking and overseeing the  TexMex and there was an air of  celebration. The bartender stayed busy serving up margaritas and specialty drinks.

The League is hosting a toy drive now through Christmas Eve. In exchange for a toy donation that benefits the Austin Children’s Shelter guests will receive an entry in to a raffle to win The Leg Lamp made famous by the movie, A Christmas Story. The League will be open Christmas Eve, featuring seafood and steak specials in addition to favorites from the regular menu and the winner of the lamp will be drawn that evening. They are now accepting reservations and toys!

Thursday December 15 2011, Alex Torres and The Cigar Room will be celebrating the introduction of a full liquor cocktail bar.
