Lakeway City Manager Steve Jones announced today that the City of Lakeway will not issue a building permit for Recovery Ways, an addiction rehabilitation facility proposed to be built on Lohmans Crossing Drive in Lakeway.
In the key month of December, Lakeway sales tax was up 8% to $256,494. Bee Cave sales tax receipts remained almost completely flat compared to the previous year at $771,023. Statewide the number was up about 9.5%.
Last week, the lawsuit that was filed over the Annexation of Brooks Hollow against the City of Lakeway was dismissed - but the plaintiffs have 30 days to appeal.
Bee Cave and Lakeway both saw November 2011 Sales Tax rise around 12% above the same month in 2010. Bee Cave rose from $497,000 to $555,000, Lakeway from $154,000 to $172,000. State wide increases averaged 9.5% and Austin City saw a 6.2% rise.
